The range of Nike shoes is huge, and therefore almost every year we celebrate the anniversary of a sneaker. Sometimes, however, the birthdays overlap, as was the case with the Nike Air Force 1 and the Air Max 97. The AF1 turns 40, while the Nike Air Max 97 proudly turns 25.
However, unlike Bruce Kilgore's classic, probably due to the lack of noteworthy collaborations, we have rarely seen the sneaker with the large Air Max unit. That may change in the second half of 2022, as Nike has now confirmed this Nike Air Max 97 OG "Silver Bullet" (2022).
